During WWII, as she moved to London to participate in the war effort, Charlotte Gray meets Peter Gregory, a young pilot of the Royal Air force, with whom she immediately falls in love. But as he is deployed in France, Peter’s aircraft has been shot down and he has gone missing. Charlotte decides to go to France to look for him. To do so she joins the French resistance. But as she takes part in several operation, she comes to realize that the role she is playing in the resistance is not what she believed.
