"Hellboy", directed by the ever talented Guillermo del Toro, and starring Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, and John Hurt, is a film adaptation of the comic book of the same name. In the film, it opens up at the end of World War II, where the Nazi's attempt to open a portal to a paranormal dimension of monsters and demons in order to defeat the allies and secure their position. However, they are only able to summon a baby demon, who is rescued by the Allied forces and named "Hellboy" because of where he was born. Sixty years later, Hellboy serves as an agent in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense.
