Riggan Thomson used to be one of the greatest movie star. He was know for playing the super-hero Birdman in a world wide fame trilogy. He got so impacted by the role that he sometimes believes he has real super powers. Yet his glory has faded away, and in order to boost his carrier back he has the project of adapting the novel ""What We Talk About When We Talk About Love" into a Brodway theater play. Unfortunately producing a theater play is more difficult than it seems. Between the whims of the main actor, the anger of certain critics, the impatience of the public and his own ego the production process of the play will be an extraordinarily challenging experience for Riggan.
