Based on a true story, the film tells the story of the Boston Globe's special department called Spotlight, which is tasked with investigating and uncovering important causes that resonate through society. At first, the case of the molestation of young children by Catholic priests under the long-standing neglect of their superiors seems petty, but only until the Spotlight reporters get involved.
