When her sister is kidnapped by robbers searching for a priceless jewel in the Colombian jungle, the novelist's (Kathleen Turner) own life is soon in danger. So she decides to rescue her sister on her own and meets a nice adventurer (Michael Douglas) who convinces her to go along with him to fool the bandits.
