If you think that being a multimillionaire is a lot of fun, then young Arthur Lempereur is the one to fool you. He's bored out of his mind, literally: he's attempted seven suicides, and even the last one - falling off a cliff in his car after cutting off his brake pads - didn't work. On top of that, he learns he's bankrupt. So what is his life worth?

About two million dollars, advises his friend, the Chinese philosopher and thinker Goh. He advises him to take out an insurance policy for two million, with the understanding that after his death, his fiancée Alice will get the million and Goh will get the million. And it is Goh who will ensure that his death is merciful and unexpected.

Arthur agrees, but soon meets the glamorous stripper Alexandra and wants to live. But how to call off the hired killers who are always on his tail? Only his friend Goh can call them off, but he has disappeared to meditate in the Himalayas. What can they do, Arthur and his faithful servant must go on a journey to find Goh before Arthur is caught by the hired killers.
