The Bourne Identity is the story of a man who was saved from drowning, and near death by the ocean from fishing boat off of the Italian coastline. When the man recovers, he realizes he suffers from complete amnesia, and doesn't remember who he is, or where he's from, or his background. However, he does have a range of talents from fighting, to language, and flashes of his past that speaks of a dangerous past that he cannot remember. He then sets out on a desperate search to discover who he is, and why he's being hunted and pursued by assassins.
